Welcome 2017 Q1 New Hires!

Two new employees have joined the TeleQuality team in Q1 of this year! Get to know them below.

Steve Dorf- Chief Operating Officer (COO)

We are thrilled to welcome telecom industry veteran Steve Dorf to the TeleQuality team as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO)! Steve will be responsible for driving the strategic leadership, oversight and general management of TeleQuality’s operational capabilities including engineering, quality, procurement and customer satisfaction nationwide. Or in Steve's own words, he's "the TQ Orchestra Conductor- I don't make the music, I just help make great music!"

Dorf’s telecom industry experience spans nearly 30 years, or as Steve explains he's "been in the telecom industry since he and Alex invented the telephone in 1876." He joins TeleQuality from Kansas Fiber Network, where he most recently served as the President and General Manager, building and operating fiber-optic networks in both urban and rural settings. Before Kansas Fiber Network, Dorf held multiple executive and management-level positions across the telecom industry spectrum with TW Telecom, Intermedia and FastTrack Communications, Inc. and Metropolitan Fiber Systems.

Aside from his formal education at Western State University of Colorado (Go Mountaineers!), he has been fortunate to have learned his craft from some very talented industry mentors. In addition to his corporate work in the telecom industry, Dorf has previously served as a board member for INCOMPAS, the competitive carriers association.

Before working at TeleQuality, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? While attending college, I learned that the best job in town was to work at a restaurant. The experience taught me to be kind to the two most important people in my life: The Bartender and the Head Cook!

If you could be anyone from any time period who would it be and why? I am happy where I am at now. Could not imagine my life without my family; however, if anyone wanted to hand me a winning Powerball ticket…

Charles Waller- Customer Relationship Manager

Join us in saying "Welcome" to Charles Waller as our newest Customer Relations Manager (CRM)! Charles will be managing various customer relationships and striving to ensure complete satisfaction with their service and experience as a customer. Our CRMs also work with current customers in analyzing their networks and provide guidance and support in obtaining the best possible solution based on individual customer needs. Charles brings a wide range of selling and managing experience starting from his first sales role with Ashley Furniture in high school to his last position prior to joining TQ as managing a local car dealership. In this role, he was able to grasp an abundance of priceless experience from his peers that he looked up to along the way.

Brief description of your roles/duties:  I’m the one who keeps our customers happy and entertained by slapping the Bass in our company, because without Bass there would be nothing but treble and I’m all about that Bass, no treble.

Before working at TeleQuality, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Had to be my first job moving to San Antonio. I got into the remodeling business with my friend for his dad’s company, where I was going door to door selling their services. Then,  graduated into a territory manager role a year later. Never saw myself doing that in my younger days, but you got to start somewhere, right?!

If you could be anyone from any time period who would it be and why? I would be Abraham Lincoln. He was a United States President, abolished slavery, and led the U.S. through the Civil War. Enough said!
